1626187664503209984 @BarnabasCalder Do you know how much CO2 is captured in the Building? German ministry of environment calculates 180-600€ per t CO2 subsequent costs. Market asks for 30€/t. It’s gonna get much more valuable! #Careforcare Maybe it’s worth keeping architecture and sell it as CO2 certificate? 1

1624706690921771008 @BarnabasCalder Agreed looks like a great project. Nice example in Scotland is @HistEnvScot installing solar on roof of @edinburghcastle - makes point that if it’s possible to do it sensitively on nationally important historic buildings, it is possible & viable anywhere! https://t.co/8RzFzDt4Go 4

1625777851461996545 @BarnabasCalder @FT The fact that concrete is 'heavy on emissions' is actual the answer to the question 'Is it affordable?' The reality is that in a climate crisis concrete is no longer 'affordable' given it generates 8% of global carbon emissions ie along with USA & China its one of big 3 emitters. 3
1626704949055815680 @BarnabasCalder From the perspective of built environment preservation, this is awful. This Kenzō Tange structure is among some of the most iconic post war buildings in Asia and it helped in cementing Japan's position as a leader in modern architecture and design. 3
